In the Name of the Lord

"But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you; for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."

2 Corinthians 2:19

God is good.

I was to visit a new church member together with my pastors. When they reached my house to pick me up, I felt like something was coming out from my mouth.

I went into the toilet and at first only water came out. I prayed to God that In would not throw up. I wanted to go out. Then I realized I should not be asking according to my will. So, I asked God to let His will be done on me. Then my stomach emptied itself. I lost my dinner. And having gotten that out of the way, I went out.

We had a wonderful time. The sister was staying in a pastor's house, church was also the Bethel Assembly of God. We enjoyed the hospitality and the food. Pastor Peter and Esther's youngest, Charis was full of love. She was only one and a half-year-old and she kept hugging and kissing Jesse, my son and Julaine, my pastors' daughter.

The day before I visited an old friend of mine. A motorcycle hit him while he was riding on one. His motorcycle was stolen recently and he was driving his brother's bike when it happened. He had stitches and bruises. But he was okay. He said the bike was in worse shape. We talked to him and shared with him.

I am so glad that God had blessed my time with His work.

I used to work 7 days a week and almost all the time while I was awake. And I still could not finish my work. So, I would just laugh if someone were to ask me to share with people.

Then, I realized my life, my time, my talent (the little that I have) and whatever I have and I know was given to me by God. And the Word of God tells us we should be good stewards. I put God in the highest place. I got my job done despite working less time.

I have an understanding with my boss that my first priority is t serve the LORD my God. My Sunday service, Wednesday visitation and Friday cell group will come first. I will not miss them.

And God has blessed me tremendously in both the little thing I am ding for Him as well as in my work. Problems - waves of them - arose again and again and by His grace I could solve them.

We should trust in the LORD. We should keep our focus on Him at all times. He will honour our faith.

"God will cause all things to work together for the good of those who love Him."

Roman 8:28

May the love of the Father, the grace of the Son and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you.

I would like to share the following:

I have made a covenant with my eyes not to look at girls lustfully.

I have strived to achieve that only because I was a proud man and I did not want to be caught doing that. But I came across the line while I was browsing in a bookstore. Reading that (and repeating that every now and then) renews my strength.
