In the Name of the Lord |

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
II Thessalonians 5:18
It's 2143 on 14 December 1997.
In the past few weeks, I have been blessed with many opportunities to get close to the LORD. I have been given the privilege to serve Him.
My good pastors, Christopher and Judy Lee took Kwong Keng, my wife and me to numerous visitations. We talked to bed-ridden patients, terminally illed patients as well as friends and relatives of church members. We shared the good news to them. We did not reap the harvest on each of the sharing session. But we had great joy in the souls saved and satisfaction for simply being able to share God's love.
I was at Malacca last night, taking part in the annual march around town in conjunction with the Jesus Loves You exhibition and concert. It was raining the whole day. The venue is the open parking lot of the Mahkota Medical Centre. The faithful people could only start erecting the exhibition booth at around 1300 when the exhibition was supposed to be from 1000 to 2200. Pastors and I prayed earnestly for the LORD to blow away the dark clouds looming the place. At around 1700, an hour before the participants of the marching to assemble, the rain stopped. This was not the LORD had showed me His great power. From there, I again witnessed how the LORD with be with us when we set out to do His work to glorify His name.
The march was a successful one. Christians from various denominations marched around the Malacca Town and sanfg praises to the LORD in English, Chinese, Malay, Tamil and Portuguese. Though we offer our praises in different languages, our hearts were in unison.
Malacca was the gateway of Christianity into South East Asia region. The Portuguese conquered it in the year 1511 and the Dutch took over in the year 1642. Up to now, we can still see a lot of buildings and monuments which stand witness to that period of time.
I am more convince each day that the LORD has a purpose for all of us. And that we should hear and answer His calling. And He will never forsake the people who turn to Him.
Praise the LORD!
