In the Name of the Lord

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."

Psalms 46:1

It’s 2157on 19 October 1998.

Today marks the last day of my 25th year. I will be celebrating my 26th birthday tomorrow.

The day before, my pastors and my brothers and sisters from my church paid a visit to my new apartment to dedicate it to the LORD.

It has been a wonderful year for me, to wit:

  1. I have a house/apartment I can call my own. I am staying with my parents. God has find tenants to rent my apartment. I did not even place any advertisement. A realty agent called and told us Perodua (the 2nd national car manufacturer) wanted to rent our place for two years.
  2. Our car (my wife drives, I do not have driver's license) was sandwiched in a knock for knock auto accident. We have been informed that the insurance claim is to be released to us soon. We can finally fix the car.
  3. We have cleared our the debts on both our credit card, totaling RM10,000.00+. No mean feat. But if God is with us, who can be against us?

At the age of 26 years young, I have a house, a car and a job with steady income despite the economy downturn. I am happily married with a 4-year-old son, who is the perfect wonderful gift from God. He is bright, healthy, cute and a bundle of joy. All three of us shared the same faith in God. And I am beginning to develop a healthy personal relationship with God.

There was many a trial. And there will be many more. God has shown me time and again how He is a faithful God who is our refuge and the ever-present help during our time of need.

I would like to praise God and give God all the glory.

Hallelujah!
